FINEST ALPACA WOOL

Annabel. This is the name of the alpaca from the Fex Valley that supplies the wool for our new carpets.

In July Annabel was shorn and the wool was then carded and spun by hand. The high-quality alpaca wool is now processed and woven with Swiss sheep's wool into our new carpets for the Chesa a la Punt.

Alpacas, also called Pakas, originally come from South America. Their wool is softer and warmer than sheep's wool. Furthermore, this natural wool has a dirt-repellent and antibacterial effect - ideal for allergy sufferers.

You can see: these high-quality characteristics of alpaca wool fit well into our new textile concept of alpinelodging. Another reason to look forward to fluffy days with us.
