Bike Tour to Valposchiavo

The Bernina Express mountain bike route, named after the famous Bernina Express of the Rhaetian Railway, connects the Upper Engadin with Valposchiavo. Starting in Samedan, the trail follows the Bernina Valley, passing by glaciers. At the top of the pass, the route circles around Lago Bianco before beginning the descent into Valposchiavo.
The train ride back to the Bernina Pass offers a vivid impression of the pioneering achievement involved in building this railway line more than 100 years ago.
